Dr. Li Jianmin:

"The regional economic cooperation of east Asia and the experience drawn from the EU"

2:00 p.m. on December 15th, 2006, Dr. Li Jianmin who is invited by EU-Center of Jilin university as a Visiting scholar to give a report on the subject of "The regional economic cooperation of east Asia and the experience drawn from the EU", which is held at the meeting room of Economic Institute (East Honor Building A0804). Meeting affair group members as Shi Weilin, Wang Honglai, Liang Xiuguo, Zhang Wentao, Zhang Xiaohui, etc attend this meeting.

In the report, Dr. Li Jianmin discuss the strategic meaning of regional economic cooperation of east Asia, the disintegration of " mode that the wild goose walks ", the rise of " new area doctrine ", history of analyzing economic cooperation of east Asia in detail in the strategic ways of the reinventing of development model and regional economic cooperation and reference of European Union. By   comparing with the EU experience, Dr. Li Jianmin point that in order to strenghten the regional economic cooperation of east Asia, participant of powerful country is the foundation; resolving the political affairs by economic cooperation is the core; getting rid of the shadow of hegemonism is the purpose.At last, Dr. Li Jianmin highlight that the way of regional economic cooperation of east Asia will be long and hard, but if we keep our hope firmly, finally we will welcome the day we become together as one .
