ESCP Teaching Enhancement Seminar

 

The ESCP Teaching Enhancement Seminar will be held at NanjingUniversity.

 

The course programme at NanjingUniversity is scheduled from July 31 to August 8, 2007.Participants should arrive one day before the course starts. Participation at the whole course progarmme is compulsory.

This Seminar will deliver a general introduction into the modern methods and methodologies of teaching and instructing. The course content will be delivered by five European teachers.

 

This course is free of charge for participants selected by PMO. Costs for air travel (economy), or train travel (soft sleeper), and local transportation to and from the airport and course venue will be reimbursed by NanjingUniversity. From July 30 to August 9, 2007 (ten nights) NanjingUniversity will reserve a single room for selected participants. Accommodation and meals are covered by the ESCP and will be provided by the host. All additional costs are to be borne by the Centres. All transportation costs (air or train tickets, intra city transportation costs by means of public transportation, taxi only if no public transportation is available) will be reimbursed after submitting the travel documents (including boarding passes) to Nanjing University.

 

All the application should be sent before July 9, 2007. Please include a short CV (one page) and a list of European Studies related publications.

 

Participants qualified to attend this course should possess:

  • a master's or bachelor's degree in a discipline related to European Studies

  • a good command of English

  • relevant experience in European Studies

  • publications in this area (preferably in English)

  • all participants should be prepared to take part in the whole 7-day course programme

  • all participants should be ESC members

  • preference should be given to young scholars with a PhD

The course concludes with a final test. NanjingUniversity will issue a certification on successful attendance for those passing the test.

About Us
The Eu center of Jilin university,which subsidized by the EU-China's higher education collaborative project, established formally on November 5th, 1998. Doctoral supervisor of Jilin university Professor Du Li serves as the centre director .It is divided into four research rooms, including European Union law research room , European Union's trade and financial research room , European politics and international relations research room and philosophy research room of Europe. The composition of personnel of the centre is as follows: 9 full-time researchers (5 professors , 3 associate professors and an assistant) and 22 part-time researchers (6 professors , 7 associate professors , 7 lecturers and one assistant).
