Preparations for "EU-China: Cyclic Economy Development Forum"

 

In order to promote the development of China's cyclic economy further, study and learn from the EU and other developed countries' management methods and techniques of cyclic economy, as well as provide countermeasures and suggestions for the revitalization of the old industrial bases in Northeast China and the full implementation of the cyclic economy, the Center for European Studies will hold "EU-China: Cyclic Economy Development Forum" on 7 and 8 April, 2007 in ChangChun. Then the environmental and economic scholars will be invited, and also the representatives of scientific research institutes, tertiary institutions, the environmental protection department and the Office of Rejuvenating Old Industrial Bases will participate in the meeting. At present, the preparatory group has issued the first round of notice of the meeting. We are expected to confirm the list of participants under the acknowledgment of the meeting before December 20, 2006, and prepare for the second round of meeting notice.

About Us
The Eu center of Jilin university,which subsidized by the EU-China's higher education collaborative project, established formally on November 5th, 1998. Doctoral supervisor of Jilin university Professor Du Li serves as the centre director .It is divided into four research rooms, including European Union law research room , European Union's trade and financial research room , European politics and international relations research room and philosophy research room of Europe. The composition of personnel of the centre is as follows: 9 full-time researchers (5 professors , 3 associate professors and an assistant) and 22 part-time researchers (6 professors , 7 associate professors , 7 lecturers and one assistant).
