I. Theme in meeting

1. The function of the government in revitalizing and making the transition in the old industrial base: European Union and China

2. The financial route which the government manages: The experience of European Union and choice of China

3. The area developments and the regional mutual reciprocity andbenefit mechanism of government leading

4.The function of the NGO in revitalizing in theold industrial base

5. Transition, experience and enlightenment of European Union's national social security system

6. The social market economy mode in Europe and function of the government: Experience and enlightenment

7. Immigrant problem, publicmanagement and policy selection

II. Way to Submit thesis

1. The thesis present shouldbe academical, prospective, and not published yet at home and abroad.

2. The thesis should be submitted by the way of Chinese or English Word file, at the same time it should also include:

(1) Home: Title, author's name, office, professional title and post;

(2) Page once: Chinese and English summary and keyword, the Chinese summary does not exceed 500 words, keywords3 to 5;

(3) Text, is suitable for about 8000 words;

(4) References.

3. Persons who intend to participate in this seminar, please submit the thesis, the invitative letter will be sent formally after the experts evalluation. If you can not finish your thesis in such limited time, please submit about 500 words of content summaries before the deadline mentioned above, and submit the intact thesis after the meetingin order to publish the collection of thesis.

4. Thesis should besubmited in the form of E-mail to us, in order to bind into book form; The thesis selected will be released on host's webpage, will put together and publish into the collection of thesis formally and recommend to relevant publications according to qualifications; No matter is the thesis employed, will not return the manuscript, so please keep the draft by yourself.

5. The thesis is original for author, take sole responsibility for one's views.

6. Solicit contributions until date: May 25, 2007

About Us
The Eu center of Jilin university,which subsidized by the EU-China's higher education collaborative project, established formally on November 5th, 1998. Doctoral supervisor of Jilin university Professor Du Li serves as the centre director .It is divided into four research rooms, including European Union law research room , European Union's trade and financial research room , European politics and international relations research room and philosophy research room of Europe. The composition of personnel of the centre is as follows: 9 full-time researchers (5 professors , 3 associate professors and an assistant) and 22 part-time researchers (6 professors , 7 associate professors , 7 lecturers and one assistant).
